Early Childhood Education Requirements for Preschool Assignments (Austin)
Early childhood education can be a challenging, yet rewarding experience! In order to be eligible to sub at some of our preschools in Austin, you will need to complete the following requirements:
- Submit CPR / First Aid Certification. If you do not have this completed yet, you can register for a session here.
- Digitally sign Form 2912 - Pre-Employment Affidavit for Applicants for Employment at Certain Child Care Operations. Your Recruitment Consultant will send this to you via Zoho Sign.
- Fill out, download, and sign Form 2985 - Affidavit for Applicants for Employment with a Licensed Operation or Registered Child Care Home. This document MUST be notarized. Please take it to your nearest notary, then email your Recruitment Consultant a copy once completed. If you need help finding a notary service, you can try scheduling an appointment through UPS here.
- Complete a background check through the Department of Health and Human Services.
- If you completed a background check through this agency after June 2015, please request a background check RENEWAL through this form. We will request a Texas Eligibility Letter using the information submitted.
- If you have not completed a background check through this agency, please request a NEW background check through this form. We will request a Texas Eligibility Letter using the information submitted. You will receive follow up instructions on how to complete the fingerprints for this agency.
- Complete 8 hours of Pre-Service Training. You can complete them for free through Texas Annual Training | Texas A&M AgriLife Learn (tamu.edu).
