Step 2: Sign the HelloSubs Employment Contract.  

1. This was sent to you in a separate email from ZohoSign. 
   

Step 3: Complete the HelloSubs New Hire Orientation. 

1. Once you've completed the K-12 Background Check Consent Form and signed your HelloSubs Employment Contract, your recruiter will notify our HR representative at Purpose Built Schools that you are ready to schedule your background check appointment (Your recruiter will cc you on this email.). Within the next seven days, she will email you the date and time of your appointment as well as instructions for where to go. 
   
2. After you've completed your fingerprint appointment, please notify your recruiter via email to let him or her know that you successfully attended your appointment. 
   
3. Once the above is done, it typically takes 1-3 weeks for your recruiter to receive the results of your background check. Please wait patiently until your recruiter notifies you of the status of your results. 
   

Step 5: Follow the instructions below to complete your Early Childhood Comprehensive Background Check.  

**Note: If you’ve completed a Comprehensive Background Check within the last 12 months, you can choose to port your background check to HelloSubs, so you won’t have to complete it again.**

2. Once you’ve completed your application, wait for an email from IDEMIA; their email will contain instructions on how to schedule your fingerprint appointment.  
   
3. Once you’ve received the email from IDEMIA, schedule your appointment.  
   
1. When you attend your appointment, please bring:  
   
1. A copy of your IDEMIA email 
   
2. Valid ID  
   
4. You’re done! Wait for HelloSubs to confirm that they’ve received the results of your background check.  
   

Step 6: Have you lived outside of Georgia within the last five years? 

1. If YES, please complete the necessary background checks for each relevant state. The instructions can be found HERE. DECAL will email them to you as well. 
   
1. Please cc your recruiter on all emails sent to OutOfState@decal.ga.gov.  
   
2. If NO, you can skip to the next step. 

1. Note:  
   
1. The course MUST have an in-person classroom component. Hybrid courses (online AND in-person classroom) are accepted.  
   
2. The course MUST include Pediatric First Aid/CPR.  
   
3. Email your recruiter your receipt and certificate upon course completion. 
   

Step 8: Complete Georgia’s mandatory Health and Safety Orientation Training.

2. Complete the Health and Safety Orientation Training; there are 9 courses that will total 10 hours.  
   
2. Email your recruiter your certificate upon course completion. 
   

Reimbursements FAQ 

1. Will HelloSubs reimburse my out-of-pocket expenses?  
   
1. Yes! HelloSubs will reimburse your out-of-pocket expenses once you’ve completed all of the screening requirements listed above AND worked your first five days on the HelloSubs platform. Once you've completed your first five days, email your receipts to support@hellosubs.co.
