How to Request a Specific Substitute

Want to request a specific substitute teacher for an assignment? With HelloSubs, you can easily request your favorite subs in just a few clicks.

Simply post your job, select Request Specific Substitutes, and choose who to request. You can set requests as Preferred (offered to selected subs first) or Required (only assigned to your chosen subs).

Step 1: Create and Publish Job


Step 2: Click 'Request Specific Substitutes'


Step 3: Select the substitute(s) and the Request Type

There are two request types:
  1. Preferred - The job is offered to these subs first. After the date selected, any sub can be assigned.
  2. Required - Only the selected sub(s) can be assigned.


You can Request a Substitute on any open Job Request at any time. Just click on the job, click on the dropdown menu, and click 'Request Substitutes'.
